Married couple Mike & Morgan watch failed and forgotten TV shows totally cold. No research. Just wildly uneducated predictions, rambling recaps, and finding a positive spin on even the biggest small screen flops. It's a comedy podcast about making the best of bad TV.

EP60 - Samurai Pizza Cats
Tuesday May 21, 2019
Tuesday May 21, 2019
Holy Cats! What do you get when you mix feline cyborgs, ancient Japanese warriors, and the most delicious food on the planet?? The 1990 animated import, Samurai Pizza Cats! It’s a veritable fancy feast of puns, guns, parody, and hilarity, and almost certainly the only show to feature robot cats being launched out of a gun-shaped pizzeria! Morgan is absent again, but we’ve got a More Gooder substitute, “Crushin’ It” Chris Braaten! Plus an all new robotronic Morgan replacement, Cy-Morg!
Mike (aka "Pizza Mike") makes some shocking accusations about the notable lack of a certain titular cheese pie in the show, and recounts stories about video stores and VCRs that reveal that he’s an old white-bearded man. Plus Chris questions the logic of the Power Rangers fighting strategy, and declares pistachio ice cream to be the best flavor(?!)

EP59 - Mann & Machine
Tuesday May 07, 2019
Tuesday May 07, 2019
Crime is a computer virus… She’s the cure! We watched the absolutely ridiculous, ultra-90s cyber-police procedural, Mann & Machine! From the creator of Law and Order comes the classic story of a grumpy butthole police detective who hates robots but is forced to team up with a beautiful and acrobatic android who has a pre-school education and a love of chocolate donuts! What a mismatched pair! Zany robo-antics most definitely ensue.
This week Mike is joined by guest host Tiffany since Morgan is on the other side of the country (but don’t worry, she still makes an appearance). That means you’re in for plenty of talk about sexy robot lawyers, the consistency of android skin, and the dangers of secondhand smoke on robots. Plus Tiff gives a detailed history of The Fast and the Furious, Mike wonders why no one can close a car door, and we cross our fingers that Dick Wolf finally steps in front of the camera and shows the world his acting abilities!
Go-go-gadget podcast!

EP58 - Harper's Island
Tuesday Apr 30, 2019
Tuesday Apr 30, 2019
Put your hockey masks on and get your chainsaws revved up, things are gonna get slasher-y this week!! We watched the 2009 single-season murder mystery, Harper’s Island! Who wouldn’t want to set their wedding in the isolated location where a violent serial killer had chopped up their friends and family only a few short years prior?! It’s show that tests the limit of how many characters can be crammed into a single plot! It’s a horror show that takes music cues right out of teen dramas. It’s a show that… we actually liked?? Dun dun dunnnnn!!
We also debate whether Robin Hood is a serial killer, flex our boat term knowledge, discuss the fabulous career of director Jon Turtletaub and sing the classic tune “Let’s All Get a Boat.” Plus Morgan declares her desire to “rebirth” John Mulaney, her imprinted memories of The Man in the Iron Mask, and naming her favorite monkey movies. Meanwhile Mike explains why Dawson’s Creek is awesome, remembers an old Carl's Jr commercial in disturbing detail, and admits he has no idea how much diamonds cost!
A that and so much… gore! (It's not actually gory, but you get the idea)

EP57 - Marvel's Inhumans
Tuesday Apr 23, 2019
Tuesday Apr 23, 2019
Everyone (except Morgan) is crazy for the MCU! And with Avengers: Endgame coming out this week the hype has never been more substantial! So we figured the time was right to take a look at the one thing nobody likes from Marvel’s cinematic universe, the 2017 super-flop, Inhumans! It’s that one with the giant CGI bulldog and a lady with magic hair. Remember? Fanboys be warned, we don’t actually know a whole lot about the MCU (and NOTHING about the Inhumans comics) and we spend a lot of time in this episode getting pretty much everything wrong! But it’s all in good fun!! (except Morgan, she’s out for blood)
Also, Morgan reveals the 3(!) Marvel movies she’s seen, rants about Sleeping Beauty’s castle at Disneyland being under construction, and cannot stop talking about Magneto! Mike gets psyched for the imaginary John Wick Animated series, mourns Jason Momoa’s beard, and scoff’s at the idea of watching Inhuman’s in an IMAX theater. Plus talk about Harry Potter lingo, gas station movie knock-offs, and obscure Home Alone references. Oh, and lots of us complaining about this dumb, dumb show!
Inhumans? More like Inhumane! Right?!

EP56 - Lancelot Link: Secret Chimp
Tuesday Apr 16, 2019
Tuesday Apr 16, 2019
We can’t monkey unsee this monkey doo doo! This week Morgan forced Mike to watch an absurdly dumb show with an entirely chimpanzee cast! Apparently the bizarro 1970 spy comedy, “Lancelot Link: Secret Chimp” was actually a real thing that existed and was on TV, and it is every bit as strange as it sounds.
From Breakfast Spaghetti, to pretending to know about British TV shows, to "Stunt Munks" and Pizza flavored Mad Libs, this episode is more fun than a double barrel of monkeys straight to the funny bone! You could say this show was a real banana in our tailpipes!

EP55 - The Powers of Matthew Star
Wednesday Apr 10, 2019
Wednesday Apr 10, 2019
From out of this world and onto our television, we get invaded by 1982’s alien superhero drama with an identity crisis, The Powers of Matthew Star!! Or is it David Star? This is definitely the first show we’ve watched that can’t even get it’s main character’s name right. Louis Gossett Jr. shows up (with hair!) as does everyone’s favorite Friday the 13th Part II star, Amy Steel. Sparks fly, busses crash, and projectors burst into flame as we watch another pick from TV Guide’s 50 Worst TV Shows of All Time, so you know we’ve got a real winner on our hands...
Also, we debut two new segments, dive into some fascinating trivia about the show and discuss the science behind mega-pooping! Plus, Morgan lays down some Grease trivia (including what song is about a penis!), gets excited by the notion of an adults only round of Double Dare, and is very curious about where Rick Flair got his “Nature Boy” nickname. Meanwhile, Mike rants about Final Girls and the rules of slasher movies, lays out the WWE policy on swearing, and proposes an alternate plot about a “Magic Wizard” that plays video games. "Gotta gotch’ ‘em!!"

EP54 - Good Reception: Grey's Anatomy
Tuesday Apr 02, 2019
Tuesday Apr 02, 2019
Code Lavender! Get us 100cc’s of soapy medical drama stat!! We’re back with another episode of Good Reception, but this time neither of us has ever seen the show. Somehow we’ve missed the biggest TV phenomenon of the past decade and a half, the much beloved, and oft referenced Grey’s Anatomy. We jump into the middle of season two with the show’s most ever watched episode, “It’s the End of the World.” Will we become the newest Anatom-aniacs (I think I just made that up?) or will it die on the operating table? Either way it’s a prescription for laughter! (sorry, these medical puns are DOA).
Also, we talk about the questionable nature of a certain “90s boning song,” debate who’s the best Billy Crudip, and try to decide if Ellen Pompeo is always crying. Plus Morgan coins her new catchphrase “I would like to uhh… touch that” and Mike pitches his new ABC drama, Don’t-ers. It’s gonna be… explosive! (Dun dun dunnnn!) [That makes more sense if you’ve seen the episode]

EP53 - Accidentally on Purpose
Tuesday Mar 26, 2019
Tuesday Mar 26, 2019
We're back with another episode of the ever-popular "Elfman on the Shelf!" This time J-Elf finds herself in a more traditional sitcom, about an unconventional relationship! Sound familiar?? It's Knocked Up meets Dharma & Greg... meets an awful moldy old garbage biscuit covered in sewage juice! Josh and Tiffany join us for one of the most painful viewing experiences in the history of the show!
Along the way Tiff confuses Jenna Elfman, Jen Kirkman, James Dean, John Wayne, Kate Moss, Kate Upton, 30 Rock and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Josh helps solve a juicy Hollywood murder mystery, Mike demands an apology from the show, and Morgan reveals her extensive knowledge of Jason Segal nudity. Plus discussions of canned laughter, Beefaroni, GTA strategies, hoo-haws, Tiff's future self sabatage, and a brand new spinoff: Vagina Talk! Did we hate this show? Abso-maybe!

EP52 - V.I.P.
Tuesday Mar 19, 2019
Tuesday Mar 19, 2019
We’ve got our sights set and hot pants on for on the campy 1998 Pamela Anderson action comedy V.I.P!! Prepare yourself for explosions, inappropriate hot dog stands, Breaking Bad stars, pixie cuts, erotic daydreams, hidden arsenals, movie stars, tax evasion, and more silicone than any dress can contain!!
Hollywood Power Couple Josh and Tiff join us as we argue over celebrity sex tapes, basketball terminology, hot dog toppings, and the relevance of Bee Movie’s on-set experts. Plus sexy Brawny stories, pondering where the stars of Lizzie McGuire are today, and a brand new catchphrase for Tiff! Ten out of ten, would boob.

EP51 - Sonic Underground
Tuesday Mar 12, 2019
Tuesday Mar 12, 2019
We’ve got the need for speed, and only the furry blue spiked one can get the job done! It’s our first video game adaptation and we went for the weirdest, goofiest, most gosh dark rock-n-roll-est show we could get our hands on, 1999’s Sonic Underground! Hope you’re ready for sick guitar riffs, laser blasting drum beats and, of course, fog spewing organ solos…(?) because this ain’t your daddy’s Sonic!
Morgan is somehow even sicker this week, hacking her lungs out (apologies misophoniacs!), but she’s a flippin' pro and showed up for the recording anyhow. This blazing fast episode also features talk of our new Gin Blossoms podcast spinoff, a retrospective of 90s kids television commercials, and there’s some bashing of the good name of Stephen Urkel. Plus Morgan tests her knowledge of Mortal Kombat (and video games in general), while Mike recalls his days deep in the punk rock scene. Quick! Give this episode a SPIN!
